The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, One Piece and Kpop Demon Hunters are all heading to the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, with nominations across the animated movie, TV and music categories. The ceremony takes place on November 14, airing on Nickelodeon and CBS.

The live-action One Piece series earned a nomination for Favorite Family TV Show, while The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Kpop Demon Hunters will compete for Favorite Animated Movie. It is a strong showing for animation and anime-adjacent hits with younger audiences.
Super Mario Galaxy Movie, One Piece, Kpop Demon Hunters Kids’ Choice nominations
The voice categories are stacked. Jack Black earned nominations for Favorite Villain and Favorite Male Animated Voice from a Movie for his role as Bowser, while Chris Pratt was nominated in the same voice category for Mario. Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach) and Brie Larson (Rosalina) were both nominated for Favorite Female Animated Voice from a Movie.
Kpop Demon Hunters matched that haul. Ahn Hyo-seop was nominated for Favorite Male Animated Voice for Jinu, Arden Cho for Favorite Female Animated Voice for Rumi, and the film’s breakout song “Golden”, performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, was nominated for Favorite Song from a Movie. Rumi, Mira and Zoey, with their speaking voices Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo, were also nominated for Favorite On-Screen Duo/Trio.
The Favorite Video Game category includes Super Mario Bros. Wonder alongside Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox and Among Us, all of which feature anime-related crossovers. Last year, Jim Carrey won Favorite Villain for Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, so the villain race will be one to watch when the slime flies on November 14 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
