Donald Trump has launched a blistering attack on Bill Maher in a 1,300-word Truth Social post, calling the HBO host a “COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER” and telling him: “Bill: Don’t call anymore.” The outburst came just days after the pair’s second dinner together at the White House.

Trump wrote the post on Sunday after watching Maher’s late-night show Real Time With Bill Maher. He dismissed the programme as a “Low Rated Show” and said HBO, once a home for quality programming in his view, had lost its heat. He also claimed Maher had long wanted him as a guest, adding that it would never happen.
Trump and Bill Maher: What Sparked the Truth Social Post
The row marks the collapse of the pair’s on-again, off-again detente. Maher and Trump dined at the White House for a second time on October 15, alongside Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock. On Friday’s Real Time, Maher defended returning to the White House, saying he liked the dinners and believed the two sides should talk, while still making jokes at Trump’s expense.
Trump’s post took a very different view of the evening. He disputed Maher’s claim that the dinner lasted four hours, writing that it lasted “two hours, maybe less”, and said: “I learned nothing, and felt it was a waste of time.” He also alleged Maher had been drinking at the White House and called him a “major POTHEAD”, claims Maher has not publicly responded to.
Trump Says He Will Never Watch Real Time Again
According to reports of the post, it was Trump’s longest social media post ever catalogued, running to 1,323 words. Trump closed by saying he would never watch Maher’s show again, calling it “FAKE NEWS”, and warning: “You’re not transformative, you’re a Loser!”
The feud is familiar territory for the two men. After their first White House dinner, Maher was complimentary about Trump in person, only for the president to later attack him and call the experience a waste of time. The second dinner briefly looked like a reset. Sunday’s post suggests that reset is now over.
