Uoyama’s Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai (I Want to Go to School With You) is coming to an end. The manga will conclude with its next chapter on November 13, as announced in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine.

The announcement appeared in this year’s 21st issue of Young Animal, confirming that the series will wrap up just over a year after it began. That makes it a notably brief run for a magazine serial, but one that still managed to build a distinctive premise around friendship, betrayal and revenge.
Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai Manga Ending Explained
The story centres on Seita, a boy who has suffered bullying and who is encouraged by his childhood friend Mitsuru to apply to a private high school run entirely by students. Seita passes the entrance exams, only to learn that Mitsuru has failed — and the reason behind that rejection changes everything.
When Seita discovers the truth about why his friend was turned away, he makes a vow to seek justice for him. That promise drives the series forward, turning what starts as a school story into something far darker and more personal.
Uoyama’s Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai Release History
Uoyama launched the series in Young Animal in July 2025, and Hakusensha shipped its second compiled book volume on May 29. The November 13 finale will therefore close the story after a relatively compact run, leaving fans to wonder whether the final chapter can tie up Seita’s quest for justice in satisfying fashion.
Uoyama is no stranger to short, self-contained work. The creator previously launched Kogure Kyodai no Tomurai Kissa in January 2024, ending it a year later, and is also known for Love’s in Sight!, which ran from 2018 to 2022 and was licensed in English by Viz Media. That track record suggests the Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai ending may be deliberate rather than rushed — a story told at the length its creator intended.
