Bridget Moynahan Reflects on Career at North Fork TV Festival
As one of the leads on CBS mainstay Blue Bloods, which ended its 14-season run in 2024, Moynahan enjoyed a run of rare stability in a rapidly evolving TV industry. She played Erin Reagan, a New York County Assistant District Attorney, across all 14 seasons and 293 episodes — and she also stepped behind the camera, directing three episodes in the show’s later seasons.
Speaking at the Deadline dinner held on October 21 at the North Fork Television Festival in Greenport, New York, Moynahan reflected on an industry reshaped by streaming’s rise to dominance, the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger forming Skydance, and a major shakeup at Netflix. But she refused to join the pessimists.
“I still feel optimistic about great stories and creativity being able to break through,” Moynahan said. “Despite all of the changes, people will always gravitate toward stories, so I do feel hopeful. You have to have hope.”
What’s Next for Bridget Moynahan After Blue Bloods?
Moynahan is not just looking back. Following her 14-season run on Blue Bloods, she recently joined the cast of Dan Fogelman’s upcoming Hulu NFL drama series The Land, alongside Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore and William H. Macy. Her wider career spans Sex and the City, where she played Natasha, Coyote Ugly, I, Robot opposite Will Smith, and the John Wick franchise.
From a model-turned-actress to a 14-year anchor of one of CBS’s most durable dramas, Moynahan’s career has already survived several eras of television upheaval. Her message at North Fork was simple: the business will keep changing, but the audience’s hunger for a good story never goes away.
