Bleyer won four Primetime Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award and a Writers Guild Award across a career that spanned some of the most influential comedy and television of the past three decades. He spent nine years on The Daily Show, helping to shape the satirical voice that defined an era of late-night comedy.
Before that, he spent an additional eight years as a writer for Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher and Dennis Miller, cutting his teeth on the sharp, debate-driven comedy format that made the show a cultural talking point.
His other writing credits included Disney+’s The Right Stuff, Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and Bravo’s Significant Others, showing a range that stretched well beyond late-night satire into drama and genre television.
