The Red Cats play in the A.A.L. (American Arena League), an eight-on-eight indoor football league. In their announcement, the club said Marshall and Bennett bring extensive experience in professional athletics, business development, live entertainment and community engagement to the organisation.
The pair are already successful business partners through One Fall Wrestling (1FW), the Georgia-based promotion that produces more than 100 live events a year. Their investment, the club said, is about helping the Red Cats grow while strengthening ties with fans, local businesses and the wider Rome community.
Why Rome Means So Much to QT Marshall
Marshall, whose real name is Michael Cuellari, is currently Senior Vice President of Creative Coordination for All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he has spent more than two decades in professional wrestling across talent development, television production, live events and marketing.
He already has a strong connection with Rome. Earlier this year, 1FW debuted in the city with Rumble in Rome, drawing more than 1,300 fans to the Forum River Center, and the promotion returns on November 20 for Rome Rampage.
“Rome is a community that takes tremendous pride in its sports and entertainment,” Marshall said. “When we brought 1FW here earlier this year, the response was incredible. It showed me how passionate the people of Rome are about supporting something they believe in.” He added that he and Bennett want to bring their experience, creativity and business relationships to the Red Cats and “help create something special for the city of Rome.”
Bennett, a former PGA Golf Professional turned entrepreneur, brings his own background in sports management, business development and philanthropy to the new ownership group.
