A new fan poll is asking a pointed question: is HYBE handling TXT member Soobin‘s deepfake controversy well? The poll follows weeks of fan pressure on the agency to act after Soobin was targeted by manipulated images circulating online.

According to the report, fans initially demanded action while TXT’s promotions continued without an official statement on the matter. Since then, Soobin’s fellow members have seemingly addressed the issue during a live broadcast, and BIGHIT Music has released a statement of its own.
What BIGHIT Music Said About TXT Soobin’s Deepfake Controversy
In its statement, BIGHIT Music said it had, until now, refrained from issuing announcements or comments to prevent false rumours from being unnecessarily amplified by official statements. That explanation has not settled the debate, with the situation continuing to escalate online.
Some fans have gone further in expressing their frustration, with plans for a funeral wreath protest directed at Soobin also drawing outrage from other fans. The poll now invites readers to vote on whether HYBE’s handling has been good enough, or whether more still needs to be done.
Why the TXT Soobin Poll Matters for Fans
The vote itself is simple, but the issue behind it is not. Deepfake targeting of idols raises serious questions about protection, accountability and how quickly agencies respond when harmful manipulated content spreads. Fans can cast a vote once every two hours until the poll closes, giving the fandom a visible way to register its view.
For TXT and their fans, the hope will be that the conversation leads to stronger protection and a clearer response, rather than further escalation. The poll result will show whether the fandom thinks HYBE is on the right track, or whether it expects the agency to go further.
