Seo recalled the intense criticism she faced during her Jewelry days over her so-called “pubic bone fashion,” and how even praise later felt dangerous: “When public opinion started to improve and people cheered for me, I thought, ‘Am I going to be hated again? What if they dislike me again?'”
She shared that during one performance, sudden anxiety overwhelmed her and she sat down crying on stage — revealing the psychological pressure she carried in her early twenties.
A Changed Outlook After Loss
Seo also spoke about her late mother, who stood by her through the hardest times: “Watching my mother pass away made me realize life has no guarantees.” She added that she buried her mother’s ashes herself, and felt a deep emptiness afterward.
The experience reshaped her view of life: “I now deeply understand that every moment is not eternal.” Her candid confessions continue to draw sympathy from viewers, with many praising her honesty about mental health struggles in the unforgiving idol industry.
