Attack on Titan 3, the concluding chapter of Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s action-game trilogy, launches worldwide on December 10, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam (Steam players get it a day early on December 9). A hands-on preview of the game confirms it is less a straight sequel and more a full retelling of the entire Attack on Titan saga.

Attack on Titan 3 story and combat preview
The game follows the same overall storyline as the anime, but it is not a straight retelling. The preview notes that the designers built combat depth for advanced and experienced players, while the quieter moments between the big battles — the downtime with the Survey Corps — stood out as some of the preview’s favorite parts.
MAPPA opening and editions
Koei Tecmo has confirmed an animated opening produced by MAPPA, the studio behind Attack on Titan: The Final Season, with direction by Arifumi Imai. It will not be in the game at launch and arrives later as a free post-launch update. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds a digital artbook, customization and equipment packs, starter items, and 72-hour early access.
First Attack on Titan game in eight years
Attack on Titan 3 is the first new Attack on Titan game in over eight years, and the timing is deliberate: it arrives after the manga wrapped in April 2021 and the anime concluded in November 2023, meaning this is the first Omega Force entry that can adapt the complete story — controversial ending and all — from Wall Maria’s fall to the final chapters. The game was first revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026, and pre-orders are already live across all platforms.
Edition options include the Standard Edition, a physical SteelBook Launch Edition with an art print and bonus DLC, and a Digital Deluxe Edition that grants 72-hour early access, effectively letting deluxe owners play from December 7. With the December 10 launch locked in, the final wait is almost over.
