King Gnu are finally bringing their own show to American fans. The Japanese rock band announced on Friday that they will headline The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 26 and Brooklyn Paramount in New York on April 2, marking their first-ever U.S. headline concerts.

Presales for both shows open on November 4, followed by a Live Nation presale on November 5, with general sales launching November 6. Demand is expected to be fierce, given the band’s reputation for sold-out stadium runs back home in Japan.
King Gnu U.S. Headline Show Dates and Tickets
Formed in 2013 as Mrs.Vinci and renamed King Gnu in 2017, the four-piece of Daiki Tsuneta, YÅ« Seki, Kazuki Arai and Satoru Iguchi broke through with their major debut album Sympa in January 2019. Since then they have become one of Japan’s biggest rock acts, blending jazz, classical and hip-hop textures into arena-sized anthems.
Anime fans will know them well. King Gnu have sung theme songs for Banana Fish, Ranking of Kings, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, The Ghost in the Shell, and the Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback film. Their track “SPECIALZ” became a global streaming phenomenon off the back of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Why This U.S. Debut Matters
A U.S. headline run signals the band’s ambitions beyond Japan’s already massive stages. With anime-driven crossover hits and a fiercely loyal fanbase, the Los Angeles and New York shows could be the first steps toward a much bigger Western footprint for one of J-rock’s defining bands.
