Skydance International Names Four Regional Leads as Andrew Georgiou Exits Europe & Africa Role After $110B Merger

Andrew Georgiou is exiting the newly-minted Skydance, as JB Perrette unveiled his international structure following the $110 billion merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery — and the final pieces of the international jigsaw have fallen into place.

Georgiou, who was previously Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief in the UK and Ireland while managing its European sports operation before becoming Skydance’s interim President of Europe and Africa, will not be part of the company going forward.

Skydance International Regional Leads: Perrette’s Four-Person Structure

In a note to staff, Perrette — co-chair and chief business officer of Skydance’s TV and direct-to-consumer divisions — confirmed four regional leaders who will report directly to him, driving the combined TV and streaming businesses. Their teams will have direct oversight of distribution, ad sales, business and commercial development across networks and streaming, as well as TV programming in their markets.

One named appointment: James Gibbons becomes President & MD APAC & MENA, leading Asia Pacific and the Middle East and North Africa, with Beverley McGarvey, Jason Monteiro and Shonali Bedi moving under him. Gibbons previously served as WBD’s President of Asia Pacific.

On Georgiou’s departure, Perrette told staff that Georgiou “will be taking on a new role outside the company next year, but he has offered to help me manage this transition before his departure and as we search for his replacement” — confirming the Europe & Africa seat is now open.

Skydance Executive Shakeup: Who Else Is Out

Georgiou joins a growing list of departures. Other exits in Perrette’s memo include Dan Barnes (global ad revenue, HBO Max), Michael Bishara (global streaming), Jamie Cooke (Central Europe, Middle East, Turkey, Africa), Marco Nobili (International GM of Paramount+), Pank Patel (Paramount international media networks) and Juan Sola (Latin American streaming).

New appointments include Jeff Cusson (EVP communications, DTC), Shauna Spenley (CMO, Global DTC and International TV), Trey Turner (COO, International), Josh Walker (COO, DTC and CFO, DTC) and Liz Wright (CFO, Skydance TV segment). Pluto TV is also searching for a new leader, with Tom Ryan and Jeff Schultz having departed, and Leah Hooper returning from maternity leave in January.
