Anime Blu-ray Releases This Week
The headline physical release is Yaiba: Samurai Legend, with Viz Media’s limited edition Blu-ray priced at $94.98. The revival of Gosho Aoyama’s classic samurai series has been one of the year’s feel-good anime stories, and the limited edition gives collectors a premium way to own it.
Discotek dominates the rest of the disc schedule. The label’s Digimon Frontier English dub Blu-ray ($79.95) is a major nostalgia drop for the Digimon faithful, while Lupin the 3rd: Part II continues Discotek’s deep dive into the franchise’s golden era at $79.95. The company also ships Outlanders ($24.95), a vintage Rumiko Takahashi OVA adaptation that hardcore fans have waited years to own legally, alongside Penguindrum ($59.95) and a reissue of Toradora! ($59.95).
Rounding out the anime discs, Sentai Filmworks releases Sword of the Demon Hunter on Blu-ray at $89.98, plus the revenge-isekai entry My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I’m Out for Revenge! at $69.98.
