The psychological thriller “The Perfect Lie” is turning up the tension: in newly released stills from the upcoming second episode, Min Joon Ho (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Kang Ji Sun (Seo Hyun Jin) undergo polygraph tests as part of the police investigation into their clash over the same memory.
Helmed by “You and Everything Else” director Jo Young Min, the drama follows a man and a woman who offer completely opposite accounts of one event, clashing fiercely in their search for the truth. Notably, it marks the reunion of Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin, who starred together in the hit series “Dr. Romantic” 10 years ago.

“The Perfect Lie” Episode 2: Who Is Lying?
In the stills, Joon Ho and Ji Sun are questioned by the police in an interrogation room after she accuses him of assault. Because their versions of the same night are so different, it appears one of them must be lying — yet neither shows any sign of backing down. Later, both undergo detector tests as part of the investigation.
The production team teased, “In Episode 2, Min Joon Ho and Kang Ji Sun undergo detector tests, as the two of them are making polar-opposite claims about the same memory. Meanwhile, the lie detector test scene is certain to deliver suspense for viewers.” They also praised the leads’ “deep and passionate acting” as the characters’ psychological states shift.
