Mercedes Mone Defends AEW Women’s World Title Against Marina Shafir at Full Gear on November 14

WWE

Mercedes Mone will put her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Marina Shafir at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 14, live on pay-per-view.

The match was made official on AEW Fright Night Collision after a heated build that began on Fright Night Dynamite. Shafir called out the champion, and Mone responded by repeatedly slapping her — but Shafir didn’t flinch. Instead, she offered her jaw and dared Mone to hit her harder.

The tension spilled over when Shafir tried to fight back: Ace Austin, David Finlay and Clark Connors attacked Jon Moxley, who had been on commentary for Shafir’s match, adding another layer of chaos to the segment.

AEW Full Gear 2026 Card Takes Shape

The Women’s World title match joins an already stacked November 14 card: Will Ospreay defends the AEW World Championship against Kyle Fletcher (with Don Callis), the Young Bucks defend the World Tag Team titles against Mark Davis and Jake Doyle, and “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido defend the World Trios titles against Swerve Strickland and New Level.

The AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship is also on the line, with the Brawling Birds defending against Wrathlander (Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron).

Mone has been a dominant champion, and Shafir — coming off her win on Dynamite — believes she’s the one to dethrone her. With just two weeks to go, expect this rivalry to turn even more personal.
