MJF has a starring role in the film, working alongside Harbour — who plays Santa Claus — and Kristen Bell, who plays Mrs. Claus. Speaking to ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley, director Tommy Wirkola said, “Max was a great sport. Very enthusiastic. He brought his wrestling energy. I really think he did a great job.”

Harbour added: “He’s very funny in the movie. He’s also great at the stunts. We would do things together where he’d be like, ‘I only want to do this a couple of times. Just hurl me across the room.’ ‘Alright, man.’ He looks fantastic in the movie.”

The film role comes as MJF has been off AEW television since AEW All In, where he competed in the Casino Gauntlet — won by Andrade El Idolo. With Violent Night 2 adding to his acting resume, fans may have to wait a little longer before “the salt of the earth” returns to the ring.
