King of Mask Singer Season 2: New Panel, Golden Mask Trophy
The show began filming its new season in October with a newly assembled panel of celebrities ready to guess the identities of the masked singers. This time, contestants won’t just compete for the title — they’ll battle for the “Golden Mask,” the symbol of the reigning champion.
The format itself has evolved: earlier this year, the production team announced the show would return in 2026 after reformatting into a multi-season series, moving away from its original open-ended run.
A Decade of Legendary Champions Since 2015
Since its launch in April 2015, “The King of Mask Singer” has produced some of K-pop’s most legendary singing champions over the past decade — a run that turned surprise reveals into a cultural phenomenon and made masked performances appointment television across Asia and beyond.
The production team shared, “Everyone has put their heart and soul into preparing for the show to repay viewers for their love and patience over the years. Please show a lot of interest and support.” With filming underway and a fresh panel in place, the Golden Mask era is almost here.
