John Cena may have hung up his jorts, but his most iconic asset — that legendary entrance music — is officially up for grabs. The retired 17-time World Champion has revealed he would be perfectly fine with another WWE Superstar using his famous theme now that he is out of the ring.

Speaking to PelucheEn ElEstuche, Cena reflected on his retirement, admitting he still thinks about wrestling every single day and misses it deeply. At the same time, he insisted walking away was the right call, saying his body simply could not keep up with the demands of preparing for and recovering from matches anymore. He also praised the current roster, declaring the company is in good hands with its talented lineup.
“It’s Up for Grabs”
The conversation eventually turned to Cena’s entrance theme — one of the most recognizable songs in wrestling history. Laughing, the champ called it a catchy tune that “sticks to the ribs,” joking that since it is a classic, it was time for him to retire.
Asked whether he considers it the greatest entrance theme of all time, Cena stayed humble. He said it means the most to him personally because it was the theme he used for the longest stretch of his career and the one fans identify with him the most.
Then came the bombshell question: what would he think if a younger WWE Superstar wanted to adopt the music now that he is retired? Cena did not hesitate. He said he would have no issue with it at all — “Yeah, sure. It’s up for grabs. I’m retired. It’s up for grabs.”
A Theme Like No Other
Given how deeply the theme is tied to Cena’s more than two decades as the face of WWE, the stance is surprisingly generous. It is hard to picture any other Superstar walking down the ramp to that song without the crowd flashing back to the Cenation leader himself. Still, Cena clearly is not precious about it, and he is not about to stand in WWE’s way if the company ever decides to pass the torch musically.
Whether any rising star would actually dare to take him up on the offer remains to be seen — some legacies are simply too big to borrow.
