Wren Sinclair is done playing nice. In recent weeks, the WWE star has revealed a more aggressive, darker side of her character — and she’s set to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc. Now Sinclair has opened up about the shift in a new interview, saying she’s been waiting a long time to finally “bite back.”

Speaking to TMZ Inside The Ring, Sinclair admitted the change had been building for a while. She spoke about how being constantly in the public eye wears on performers: “I feel like we are people at the end of the day but when we are so publicly out there and on social media, the things that people say to you and the responses you get from people, it does affect you in a sense.”
That frustration is feeding directly into her new persona. “Me to my core, I’m not going to let someone push me around. So, to get pushed around and eat it and to get pushed around and then eat it again, it definitely pulled on who I am as a person. So, I think I was very excited to finally bite back in lack of better terms.”
Why the New Attitude Could Pay Off
The timing couldn’t be more interesting. A hungrier, more vicious Wren Sinclair challenging for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc gives her the character edge a title chase needs — and fans have already noticed the spark the change brought to her performances. If she captures the gold, this character pivot will be remembered as the moment her career turned.
