Cody Rhodes believes The Rock is not done in the ring yet. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the American Nightmare said he personally thinks the Great One still has “a couple of matches” left in him — even though The Rock could just as easily call WrestleMania 40 his final piece.
The Rock returned to the ring in a serious manner for the first time in over a decade at WrestleMania 40, teaming with Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night one. The Rock pinned Cody in that match — and though the two shared TV time a year later when Rock demanded Cody’s soul, The Final Boss has not wrestled since.

Will Cody Rhodes Ever Get a One-on-One Match With The Rock?
When asked if a one-on-one showdown with The Rock was ever on the table, Cody was candid about the uncertainty. “Oof. It’s not that I’m evading that answer. It’s that I don’t really know how to answer because I think personally he has a couple of matches probably left to do,” Cody said. But he also acknowledged The Rock’s packed life beyond wrestling, noting that as part of the WWE board, he could easily call WrestleMania 40 a great final act: “That’ll be up to him.”
He added the classic wrestler truth: “I don’t think any wrestler would ever look you in the eye and tell you they wouldn’t want a match like that.”
The Rock’s Last WWE Appearance: Elimination Chamber
The Rock has not appeared on WWE television since Elimination Chamber, when Cody turned down his demand for his soul and was immediately attacked by John Cena. Elsewhere in the interview, Cody also touched on his own future in wrestling — but the dream Rock singles match remains the big question fans keep asking.
