Zack Sabre Jr. has made one thing clear about TMDK: he will never claim to be its leader. Speaking on CMLL’s Esto es Lucha Podcast, the New Japan Pro-Wrestling star said the group belongs to Australian wrestling, not to him.

Zack Sabre Jr. on TMDK Leadership: It Belongs to Australian Wrestling
T.M.D.K. (The Mighty Don’t Kneel) originated in Australia, started by Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls in 2006 and 2007, when the Australian independent scene was still trying to create something of its own. Haste and Nicholls are scheduled to reunite in Pro Wrestling NOAH on October 25.
Sabre Jr. explained that Haste came up with the title of Frontman precisely because there is no leader. As he put it, claiming leadership would be wrong because the group was never his to lead. What matters more to him, he said, is seeing the next generation thrive in TMDK colours, with Ryohei Oiwa and Kosei Fujita winning the biggest tournaments in Japan.
Who Is in TMDK Today?
The New Japan branch of TMDK currently consists of Sabre Jr., Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa, Bad Dude Tito and Hartley Jackson. WWE’s Bronson Reed is also a member of the group.
For Sabre Jr., watching two Australian wrestlers who worked their way up from nothing in Australia now see their successors carrying the TMDK flag is far more fulfilling than any leadership title could ever be.
