The group, made up of KENTA (Drums), MOMIKEN (Bass), YOSUKE (Vocal), and UZ (Guitar & Programming), kicks off the tour on October 30. The four members will perform across Vienna, Paris, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, London, and Milan, marking their first European run in eight years.

To mark the occasion, SPYAIR released “BEST OF ANIME,” an album highlighting both their recent anime song performances and re-recorded versions of their classic anime themes. The compilation includes “Awake,” their most recent track and the opening theme for The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. The album is available on all major streaming platforms.

SPYAIR and Haikyu!!: A Bond That Saved the Band

Asked why their music connects so strongly with Haikyu!!, UZ pointed to a turning point in 2023, when YOSUKE had just joined and the band was at a crossroads, unsure of what the future held. That was when the offer came to create the theme song for Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle.

The resulting song, “Orange,” has been streamed more than any of SPYAIR’s previous songs worldwide, surpassing everything they had achieved before and reaching more listeners than ever. UZ said there is no doubt that Haikyu!! is one of the biggest reasons the band is still able to continue today.

MOMIKEN added that since their debut, the band has faced several turning points that could have changed its course, and each time Haikyu!! was there. Their relationship with the series began in 2014 with “Imagination,” the theme song for its first season, followed by “I’m a Believer” and “One Day.” For “Orange,” the band wove little pieces of lyrics from those three earlier songs into the new track, creating something that felt like the culmination of their entire history with the series.

The band also had fun with the volleyball theme: YOSUKE picked outside hitter, UZ chose setter (a position he played on his school team), MOMIKEN went with libero, and KENTA picked left-side hitter. With the European tour about to begin, SPYAIR’s next chapter is one their fans, old and new, will be watching closely.
