Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Music Video Brings Weak Kingsley and Avida Center Stage

The headline video was directed by Jack-Amin Ibrahim, a key animator known for his work on One Piece Heroines and One Piece Fan Letter. The animated short centers on Weak Kingsley and Avida, two figures from the second season’s new cast, and is set to the show’s ending theme “Watson” by Petite Meller featuring Oslo Green.

Alongside it, the staff released a second animated music video for “High Forever” (Marlon Hoffstadt Remix) by Marlon Hoffstadt and Petite Miller, giving the season’s soundtrack even more room to breathe beyond the episodes themselves.

Edgerunners 2’s Explosive October Netflix Debut

The new music videos arrive less than a month after the show’s big premiere. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 debuted on Netflix on October 20, with the first episode getting an early premiere screening at Anime Expo on July 3. The series presents a standalone 10-episode story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 — described as a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.

Directing duties fell to Kai Ikarashi in his directorial debut; he previously served as storyboard artist, animation director, animator, and prop designer on the first series. Producer and writer Bartosz Sztybor returned, with Ichigo Kanno as lead character designer and Masahiko Otsuka back as scriptwriter.

The soundtrack has been a talking point since the start: the opening theme is The Cure’s 1978 classic “10:15 Saturday Night,” while rapper RICO NASTY wrote and performed “YOU CAN’T RUN FROM ME” for the second teaser trailer.

A Franchise Still Expanding

The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners from Studio Trigger debuted on Netflix in September 2022, becoming a breakout hit that revived interest in CD PROJEKT RED’s game. The wider franchise keeps growing: a prequel manga, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness, launched in December 2024, and Dark Horse is releasing it in English print. With the new season streaming and music videos dropping fast, Night City isn’t slowing down.
