A federal judge ruled in favor of The Washington Post last week, formally throwing out Trump Media’s $3.8 billion defamation lawsuit against the outlet.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Barber issued the ruling on Thursday and wrote in his summary docket that President Donald Trump’s social media company “failed to present evidence that would allow a jury to find by clear and convincing evidence” that the outlet “published the allegedly defamatory statements with actual malice.”
Barber formally granted The Post’s motion for summary judgement, as well as denied one from Trump Media.
“The Pretrial Conference set for July 113, 2026, is cancelled,” Barber further noted. “A written order memorializing and explaining these ruling swill follow in due course.”
“We are pleased with the court’s decision and look forward to reviewing its written order upon release,” a Washington Post spokeswoman said in a statement shared with the outlet.
The decision comes three years after Trump Media and Technology Group sued The Washington Post for defamation, alleging a “years-long crusade” had been conducted by the paper. The Trump Media lawyers cited an “egregious hit piece” in their suit, referring to a May 2023 article that discussed the company’s financing efforts ahead of a merger to take the company public.

Nearly 30 years later, the Spice Girls are giving fans what they want (what they really, really want).
Melanie Chisholm, aka Mel C/Sporty Spice, recently teased that Spice World (1997) should be available to stream in “the not-too-distant future” for the first time since the cult classic musical comedy debuted.
“It’s not available at the moment. It will be, because there were a lot of people that owned it. It was kind of all over the place,” she revealed on The Louis Theroux Podcast.
“So we’ve had to come together,” added Chisholm. “The Spice Girls now fully own it, so we will be presenting it at some point in hopefully the not-too-distant future for people to enjoy.
Written by Kim Fuller and directed by Bob Spiers, Spice World followed the girl group as they toured London in their double-decker bus, getting into various adventures while at the height of their fame.

In addition to the Spice Girls, the movie also featured an all-star ensemble, including Alan Cumming, Elton John, Richard E. Grant, Jennifer Saunders, Hugh Laurie, Roger Moore, Meat Loaf and Elvis Costello.
While Wednesday marks the 30th anniversary of their 1996 hit single “Wannabe”, followed by the milestone anniversary of their debut album Spice in September, Chisholm previously revealed there are no plans for a reunion.
“Yeah, it’s a big one. And no, there is no reunion,” she said on The Smallzy Show. “We’re communicating all the time, and we want to do something — who knows when? But I still feel very optimistic, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll see the Spice Girls together in the future.”
The last time all five members of the Spice Girls performed together was at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony. While they have had reunions since, including a tour in 2019 that took place without Victoria Beckham, this was their final performance as a quintet.

It’s the stuff that childhood dreams are made of.
The estate that provided the exteriors for the 1960s Batman TV series is on the block — albeit with a Bruce Wayne-sized price tag.
The 18,000-foot Pasadena mansion is listed for a cool $32M. The home has 7 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 4 half baths and 4 three-quarter baths. Bruce Wayne, it seems, likes to bathe.
Stately Wayne Manor is depicted as a more gothic structure in most versions of the bat story. For instance, the building seen in The Dark Knight Rises is Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, England. It was built in the 1580s.
The Batman series starring Adam West only used the Pasadena property for exteriors. Scenes set inside the show’s Wayne Manor were shot on soundstages.
The three-level structure is in the Jacobean Tudor Revival style and was completed in 1928. It sits on nearly five acres and looks out over the Arroyo Seco. While no Batcave (that we know of) is included, the estate does offer a resort-caliber pool, pickleball court, private theater, mature oaks, manicured gardens, rolling lawns and hardwood and marble floors.

The estate was was previously sold in 1999 for $4.4M and then for $20.5M just last year. No indication is given for the price jump, though reports of the 2025 sale had the home at about 16,500 square feet. Now it’s listed in the range of 18,600 square feet.
Maybe they added a Batcave?

Polarizing filmmaker Uwe Boll offered to field questions from fans, and it’s safe to say that things did not go as planned.
Known for such B-movie staples as Alone in the Dark and BloodRayne, Boll took part in a Reddit AMA on Friday to promote his film Citizen Vigilante, which stars Armie Hammer. Critics have predictably trashed the movie, as generally is the case with Boll’s oeuvre, with Citizen Vigilante holding a six percent approval rating from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes, although it has a 93 percent score from audiences. Citizen Vigilante centers on Hammer’s character as he seeks to punish criminals, most of whom are depicted as migrants.
The proceedings got off to an inauspicious start, as the first question asked Boll why he still makes new films “after already making some of the worst movies ever.” The German director replied tersely, “To top them all.”
This conversation didn’t get any more civilized from there. One question noted Boll having previously referred to actors as “whores” and went on to ask the director if he is “a whore yourself pleasing right wingers,” given that conservatives have championed the film and its anti-migrant themes. “Absolutely,” replied Boll in his native German.

When another individual asked Boll how he keeps getting work, the director replied, “Money.” In response to a different question asking why he decided to cast Hammer “despite his controversies and allegations,” Boll explained, “Great actor and fits into the movie.”
Although there were some questions that were more respectful, Boll clearly did not appreciate the general tone of the exchanges. At one point, he posted a comment that read, “Guys, why a lot of you are stuck in the past. You love to hate and trash me.”
He went on to encourage participants to watch some of his films and named a long list of them, including Postal (2007), Rampage (2009) and Assault on Wall Street (2013). “Open your eyes,” he continued. “Forget my name and just watch the movies. Look at the ratings at Amazon and you see what the REAL AUDIENCE believes …. ! You are so in love of bashing me that you forgot yourself. I wish you all a great evening and now watch soccer in TV instead of wasting my time here.”
Citizen Vigilante was the subject of headlines after Elon Musk briefly made it available to stream for free on X following the movie getting banned in Germany amid concerns that it could incite violence against immigrants. Boll has posted to social media about the film having performed well on digital platforms and teased a potential sequel.
The project marks one of Hammer’s first features since he was dropped from WME after a number of sexual misconduct allegations surfaced in 2021. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star recalled getting emotional after landing the role in Citizen Vigilante: “I would have done a fucking cat food commercial. I just wanted to work again.”
