Battlefield 6 is under fire from its own community after the latest battle pass introduced character skins with glaring design flaws — and fans are increasingly convinced generative AI is behind them. From a soldier carrying five pistols to a patch that reads “secuty”, the details are hard to ignore.
The backlash exploded on Reddit and X after players spotted the questionable art, with some calling it the clearest evidence yet that EA and DICE are leaning on AI-generated assets for the shooter.

Five Pistols and a “Secuty” Patch
The most memed skin features a soldier in a Batman-style mask — minus the ears — wearing a tac vest loaded with five pistols in the chest pockets. “Because switching to your pistol, secondary pistol, tertiary pistol, quartenary (sic) pistol, and quinary pistol is faster than reloading, soldier!” one Reddit poster joked.
But the jokes turned serious when players noticed spelling errors and other inconsistencies that scream generative AI. One skin sports a patch reading “secuty” instead of “security.” Another features a bomb disposal juggernaut in heavy body armor with a completely exposed head — and magazines for a small-game hunting rifle that does not even exist in Battlefield 6.
Fans Say AI Use Is “Impossible to Deny”
“I believe it’s almost impossible to deny anymore that EA/DICE is using AI for the skins in Battlefield 6,” one X poster wrote, arguing that anything that looks even remotely cool in the concept phase simply gets rubber-stamped. Others pointed to the odd proportions and illogical gear placement as classic hallmarks of AI-generated imagery.
The controversy lands at a sensitive moment, as players grow increasingly wary of generative AI creeping into AAA art pipelines. Whether EA/DICE confirms or denies the accusations, the five-pistol soldier has already become a symbol of what can go wrong when nobody double-checks the details.
