According to the announcement shared on social media last Friday, the countdown includes the chapter set to appear in the October 15 issue of Harta. Barring any delays, readers can expect the emotional finale to land in the December issue, giving fans only a couple more months with Shiina and Shuu.
A Cozy Romance Forged Over Six Years
For those who haven’t picked it up, The Coppersmith’s Bride follows Shiina, a college freshman enjoying a peaceful life in Niigata Prefecture, and her boyfriend Shuu, a dedicated coppersmith. Shiina has grown fond of the rhythmic clang of his hammer, affectionately thinking of him as a “smithing nut” for the way he holes up in his workshop even on days off. But when Shuu suddenly proposes, the barely-out-of-high-school Shiina has to ask herself whether she’s truly ready for marriage — and for joining a prestigious smithing family.
The series launched in Harta in May 2020, and Kadokawa published the eighth compiled volume on May 15. English-speaking fans haven’t been left behind either: J-Novel Club is releasing the manga in English and put out the seventh volume on June 3, while the series is also available on Crunchyroll Manga.
What Comes Next for English Readers
With the Japanese finale set for December, English readers can look forward to J-Novel Club catching up over the coming months. The publisher has kept a steady pace with the series, and the final volumes should follow in due course.
Six years is a fine run for a quiet, character-driven romance, and namo’s story of love, craft, and family has earned a devoted following. Fans will surely be watching the October 15 chapter closely as the three-chapter countdown begins.
