Christyan XO, the newest member of the Shane Taylor Promotions faction, has opened up about how her journey into AEW and ROH began. Speaking on a virtual signing with Captain’s Corner, she detailed the extra work that led to her getting noticed by the company.
Christyan joined the faction — which features Shane Taylor, ROH Men’s Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, Trish Adora, Cpt. Shawn Dawn and Carlie Bravo — as its most recent addition, and she says the experience so far has been “pretty awesome.”
From extra work to a real offer
Christyan explained that everything started last December, when she did extra work with the company. The performances clearly made an impression, because AEW came calling with an offer.
“Last December, I did some extra work with them… So, they offered me a few times after I did extra work and yeah, it was pretty awesome,” she said, adding that her first extra-work outing was in Virginia, while the offer itself came in New York.
Her bond with the faction
She was especially warm about Carlie Bravo, calling him an “amazing person” and saying she is grateful to work beside him. “The whole group, all amazing people, and they make everything super fun, and they help guide me and help me these past couple of months so, amazing people. Very happy I’m with them,” she said.
She reserved equally high praise for Trish Adora, describing her as “like a sister” who helps her when nerves creep in. “I learn a lot from her and (to) be able to go out there with her, I’m very grateful. Amazing wrestler. I love Trish,” she added.
Christyan began her in-ring career in 2024 and regularly competes for Maryland Championship Wrestling. She last wrestled for Ring of Honor at a taping in April 2026 — and with the full backing of Shane Taylor Promotions behind her, her run with AEW and ROH appears to be just getting started.
