By Drew McIntyre may be inching closer to a WWE comeback, but he isn’t ready to talk about it just yet. While promoting his new film “Agent of Shadows” alongside co-star Chase DeMoor, the Scottish Warrior told Collider that today’s conversation was about “Hollywood Drew” — not the Claymore’s return to the ring.

Hollywood Drew, Not WWE Drew
McIntyre’s acting career has played a major role in his WWE absence. His growing movie schedule has included “Highlander” and another project with Russell Crowe, keeping him plenty busy while wrestling sat on the back burner. When the interviewer tried to turn the conversation toward his WWE future, McIntyre pumped the brakes: “Right now we’re talking today about Hollywood Drew. We’re not worrying about my comeback right now, but the wheels are turning.”
Recruiting on the Side
Before deflecting, McIntyre spent the interview openly fantasy-booking DeMoor’s future in wrestling. Praising his co-star’s martial arts background and stunt-school training, Drew said DeMoor held his own taking bumps on set — and then pitched them as a tag team.
“We’re going to get you in the ring,” McIntyre said, joking that DeMoor could do most of the work while he saved his body on the apron. “I reckon we’d be a tag team and smash a bunch of people, get some tag titles on our shoulders.”
McIntyre hasn’t completely distanced himself from the squared circle either — he recently posted footage of himself training inside the ring, fueling return speculation even without a date attached. So while WWE fans wait, it seems Drew is content stacking up acting experience and, apparently, doing a little recruiting on the side.
