By Skadi has her eyes on the crown. The wrestler is set to face Olympia in the finals of the 2026 CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament, and she made her intentions crystal clear in a new interview with Fightful’s Luis Pulido.

“I’m happy to be a finalist again; it reflects my work throughout the year. I’m excited because it’s going to be a great fight,” Skadi said. She had high praise for her opponent: “Olympia is a great wrestler. She’s powerful and eager to build on all the victories she’s had this year.”
But Skadi isn’t backing down from the challenge: “Skadi has been grinding away for a long time. So, this Friday, I’m sure that matchup is going to be explosive. I’m excited, and you definitely can’t miss it.”
Revenge for Last Year
This isn’t Skadi’s first shot at the title. She was a finalist in the 2025 CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament, where she was defeated by India Sioux — and she’s been carrying that loss with her ever since.
“Well, to be honest, I’ve learned a great deal from all my defeats,” she said. “Most of my career has been marked by quite a few losses, more so than by wins, but each one has taught me something new. Things always happen for a reason; everything has to happen at the right time.”
She called the 2025 final one of the best matches on the card, but she’s done with silver: “She may have taken the victory, but this year is my rematch. This year I’m going for that universal championship.”
Four Years in the Making
Skadi has spent four years competing in the CMLL Grand Prix scene, and she admitted the journey still surprises her: “Honestly, at first I couldn’t believe everything that’s happened since last year and the four years I’ve been in the Grand Prix. This is my rematch, and this year I will be crowned universal champion.”
The final takes place this Friday. If Skadi delivers on her promise, it will be a career-defining moment four years in the making.
