The couple confirmed their marriage plans on October 15th, and since then Lee’s candid appearance on Channel A’s These Days Men’s Life – Groom School has regained serious attention online.
“The Word Groom Feels The Furthest From Me”
On the show, Lee opened up to a friend of 25 years about his complicated feelings. Asked if he was interested in dating, he said, “If I meet someone good. I’m always open,” before adding, “But I really don’t want to have a wedding.”
Pressed further, he confessed: “The word ‘groom’ feels the furthest from me in the world. I’ve experienced filming wedding scenes in dramas. It was so awkward, and walking down the aisle as the groom was unbearable.”
Honest Doubts About Fatherhood
Lee’s reflections on children were equally raw. “It’s not that I dislike them. I was always alone growing up,” he said, revealing he was raised by his mother alone. “Now, as an adult, I don’t know if I can give that care to a child. I see young actors on set, and they are so lovely, but I don’t know how to treat them. I worry that if I have a child, I might even struggle with my own child.”
Watching the footage with his mother in the studio, he admitted he hadn’t even told his friends about being raised by a single mother when he was young. Fans have praised his vulnerability — and are now extra invested in his upcoming wedding with Solbi, the man who once swore off the aisle.
