A Career-Spanning Night at Her Favorite Venue

The shows were announced in early September alongside the news that Bass Persuades would release on September 18 via Atlantic Records — her first album under the mononym Miley. The Friday and Sunday engagements, with Model/Actriz as support, drew immediate demand, with nearly 1.5 million fans joining the ticket queue during pre-sales.

Cyrus herself called the Bowl her favorite place to experience music, noting on Instagram that while she had sat in its seats many times, she had never performed there. Friday night changed that, as she brought her new era home to Los Angeles for a set expected to span her career, from the Bass Persuades material to classics fans have waited years to hear live again.

The Bass Persuades Era

The 10-track Bass Persuades features collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, with production from longtime collaborators Kid Harpoon and Maxx Morando. Its title track debuted at number one on Spotify’s US Top Songs chart. With only the two Bowl dates on the calendar and a second show on Sunday, the residency remains one of her most exclusive live moments in years.
