A2O SOUL, the brand-new 15-member boy group launched by producer Lee Soo Man, have pulled back the curtain on what life is really like when fifteen idols share one dorm — and it all comes down to bathroom order and age.

Appearing on MBC FM4U’s Noon Song of Hope with Kim Shin Young on October 19, the rookies were joined by special DJ Sunny of Girls’ Generation, who immediately bonded with them over the chaos of big-group living. “Since you’re a large group, I can relate a lot — I started as a 9-member group and performed as an 8-member group. The preparation time is long and the bathrooms are limited, right?” she asked.
Who Showers First? Age Order Decides
The members laughed and nodded before revealing their system: bathroom and shower order is decided by age. The queue isn’t rigid, though — on busy schedules the order gets shuffled so whoever has the earliest call time goes first. A flexible system, but an unavoidable one when fifteen people share the same showers.
Despite the logistical squeeze, the group insisted the upsides outweigh the hassle. They pointed to the unmatched unity of a large group and the value of hearing many different opinions and perspectives — a built-in sounding board of fourteen teammates.
Debut Song ‘SUPERSTAR’ and Trainee Gratitude
The conversation turned to their debut track, “SUPERSTAR”. The members admitted that hearing it for the first time left them asking themselves, “Can I really become a superstar?” — and as rookies chasing exactly that dream, the lyrics hit even harder.
They also thanked senior artists who guided them through trainee days, saying Sunny herself reached out whenever they were struggling or had concerns. Even their first group dinner got a mention: simple comfort foods like beef bulgogi and kimchi stew, showing the idols have down-to-earth tastes despite the scale of their debut.
The Lee Soo Man Connection
A2O SOUL is a multinational boy group introduced by Lee Soo Man, who held a global debut showcase with sister group A2O LITE on October 12 and officially debuted with “SUPERSTAR” on October 13. The track was produced by Yoo Young Jin, Lee Soo Man’s longtime musical partner, reinterpreting 1980s synthesizer sounds in a modern way.
Sunny’s role here runs deeper than a guest DJ spot — she is Lee Soo Man’s niece and a former SM Entertainment artist, now signed with A2O Entertainment where she helps train and produce rookie artists. She returns to the same radio show on October 21 with junior group A2O LITE.
