Good Partner 2 Sets November 20 Premiere as Jang Na Ra and Kim Hye Yoon Shine at Script Reading

The most satisfying K-drama legal show is back! “Good Partner 2” will premiere on November 20 at 9:50 p.m. KST, and the production team just unveiled the script reading with the full cast — Jang Na Ra, Kim Hye Yoon, P.O, and Park Hae Jin — looking ready to dive into an even more intense round of divorce cases.

The new photos and video released on October 19 show the cast already locking in with one another, and the chemistry is easy to see. Jang Na Ra returns as Cha Eun Kyung, this time leading the production as the representative attorney of her own firm, while Kim Hye Yoon joins as the sharp, driven Kang Hye Sung. Expect sparks between the two leads as they go from colleagues to each other’s “good partner.”

What We Know About Season 2

Season 1 followed two very different divorce lawyers — star attorney Cha Eun Kyung and rookie Han Yu Ri — and was written by an actual divorce specialist, lawyer Choi Yu Na, giving it a grounded, believable edge. Season 2 jumps two years ahead: Cha Eun Kyung has left Law Firm Daejeong and founded Law Firm Spring Again to help clients reclaim the “spring” in their lives, and she is now a 20-year veteran who understands not just the cases but the lives behind them.

New to the mix is Kang Hye Sung, a five-year experienced lawyer with a fierce reputation built on winning consecutive civil and criminal cases with quick-wittedness and tenacity. P.O reprises his role as Jeon Eun Ho, the junior lawyer supporting Cha Eun Kyung, while Park Hae Jin joins as Cha Eun Kyung’s college classmate Park Tae Soo.

Bigger Cases, Messier Relationships

The production team teased that Season 2 will feature “even more intense divorce cases,” with attorneys of different strategies and values solving cases in their own ways. Beyond the courtroom drama, the season will lean into the messier dynamics — new partners, new rivals, and shifting relationships — which should give the sequel its own flavor rather than a simple repeat of Season 1.

Director Seo Min Jung helms the new season alongside returning writer Choi Yu Na, so the tone that made the original a hit should stay intact. With Jang Na Ra anchoring the cast and Kim Hye Yoon bringing her trademark bold energy, “Good Partner 2” is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated K-drama premieres of November.
