Kyle Fletcher has taken some of the gnarliest bumps in modern wrestling, but the AEW star says one landing stands alone — a suplex off the top of a guardrail that made it feel like “my insides exploded.”

Speaking to Westwood One Sports Night, Fletcher named the nastiest bump of his career: a suplex from the top of the guardrail to the floor, delivered by Mark Briscoe.

The Bump That Nearly Ended His Night

Fletcher landed directly on his tailbone, and the sensation, in his own colorful words, was unlike anything he had ever felt — he described it as if his insides had fallen out all at once, the “weirdest feeling ever.” He lay motionless for about 30 seconds, asking himself whether he could keep going, before climbing to his feet and finishing the match.

It is exactly the kind of fearless daredevilry that has defined Fletcher’s rise. The Australian is known for taking bumps that make crowds wince — off the tops of cages and onto the floor in ugly landings — and at under 30, he has already established himself as one of the most complete young performers in the sport.

A Star on the Rise in AEW

The timing is fitting: Fletcher just came off a high-profile tag team title bout at AEW WrestleDream 2026 in Orlando, where he and Kevin Knight challenged the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The bump he took from Briscoe, though, remains the benchmark for pain — a reminder of the physical toll behind the spectacle.
