The rookies are already winning. New nine-member girl group A2O LITE has taken home the very first music show trophy of their career, winning on the October 20 episode of SBS Life’s “The Show” with their debut single “NEON”.

The first-place nominees were A2O LITE’s “NEON,” FLARE U’s “Bloom,” and Sung Han Bin’s “UNDEAD.” A2O LITE ultimately sealed the win with 7,331 points — just seven days after making their debut.
A Debut for the Record Books
A2O LITE officially debuted on October 13 with “NEON,” and the song has been on a tear ever since. It topped Melon’s TOP100 chart just 29 hours after release, held the No. 1 spot for six straight days from October 15, and also conquered Spotify’s Korea chart and YouTube Music’s music video chart. Globally, it reached No. 4 on Apple Music’s Today’s Top 100: Global chart.
The group is the first K-pop girl group launched by legendary producer Lee Soo-man through his new company A2O Entertainment since his dramatic 2023 departure from SM Entertainment, following a three-year non-compete agreement that expired in February. The win also stands out because the group earned it without album sales — purely on the strength of streaming and broadcast points.
What’s Next
After their main stage, A2O LITE delivered steady live vocals during their encore, handling even the high notes with ease. The “NEON” intro’s pair choreography has already gone viral through parodies and fan edits across social media. With a debut-week music show win and chart domination in hand, Lee Soo-man’s return to the Korean market is off to a blazing start.
