If Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie has you itching to return to the wardrobe, now is the time. Amazon is running a buy 1, get 1 50% off sale on all of the Chronicles of Narnia books this week, covering hardcovers, box sets, paperbacks, and even a massive 7-in-1 deluxe edition.

How to Maximize the Deal
The promotion is simple: add two eligible books to your cart and Amazon automatically applies the 50 percent discount to whichever one is cheaper. That means you’ll want to pair books at similar price points to get the most out of it.
For example, the deluxe edition is going for $39.50, so pairing it with a $7 paperback would waste most of the discount. Instead, browse the sale for something closer to $40 to maximize your savings. The deal works best if you’re buying multiple copies of the same book at the same price point, or stacking two premium editions.
Start With The Magician’s Nephew
If you’re only looking to read the source material for Gerwig’s movie, the paperback, hardcover, and collector’s edition of The Magician’s Nephew are all included in the sale. You can also grab it as part of the box set or the deluxe edition if you want the full collection.
New to Narnia? The reading order is famously up for debate. Chronologically by in-story events, The Magician’s Nephew counts as book one, but it was actually the fifth book C.S. Lewis published. The box set and deluxe edition both place it first, but purists may prefer publication order.
With Gerwig’s Narnia movie hitting theaters early next year, there is no better time to read the original C.S. Lewis novels that started it all.
