Magic: The Gathering’s Star Trek crossover is about to beam down, and it just got cheaper. Amazon is offering the Play Booster box for the upcoming set at a 33% discount, dropping the price to $139.99 from the $209.70 MSRP that Universes Beyond Play Booster boxes usually ship for. That is the lowest price the set has seen yet.

The Deal in Detail
Each Play Booster box contains 30 packs. At the discounted price, that works out to roughly $4.66 per pack, down from the standard in-store price of $6.99. It is the cheapest entry point into the set for players looking to draft, build a Starfleet of their own, or crack packs for fun.
One note of caution for hunters of the most valuable pulls: Collector Boosters remain sold out everywhere at the time of writing. Those are the packs most likely to contain the set’s priciest cards, so Play Boosters are the best available way in for now.
Commander Decks Discounted Too
The deals extend beyond boosters. Amazon has also discounted three of the four upcoming Commander decks for the Star Trek set. Landing Party has dropped from $74.99 to $69.82, with Klingon Fury and We Are The Borg falling by the same amount. Only Federation Fleet is holding firm at its original MSRP.
Notably, the Play Booster box was previously reduced by 19%. Thanks to Amazon’s preorder price guarantee, anyone who ordered at that earlier price will only be charged the new, lower amount.
A Busy Year for Universes Beyond
The Star Trek set follows a packed 2026 crossover lineup for Magic: The Gathering, which has already included Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Marvel Super Heroes, and The Hobbit this year. The new set picks up where Edge of Eternities, Magic’s in-universe space opera set, left off, making it a natural fit for players who enjoyed the cosmic themes of that release.
With the set still not officially out, a 33% discount at launch is an unusually strong deal. Whether you’re a Trek fan looking to build your first deck or a collector stocking up before prices climb, this is the moment to strike.
