Night City is about to get a whole lot bigger. CD Projekt has revealed everything coming to Cyberpunk 2077 with the 2.5 update, and it’s stacked — new side quests, a game-changing dual-wielding perk, hand cyberware customization, and content tying directly into Netflix’s Edgerunners 2 anime.

Edgerunners 2 Takes Over Night City
The update drops alongside the new season of the anime, and the crossover content is the centerpiece. A new side quest called Clampdown is set before the events of Edgerunners 2 — which CD Projekt recently confirmed takes place in 2078, just one year after the game itself. Completing the quest earns a brand-new five-piece gear set inspired by King, the breakout character from Season 2.
A new radio station is also on the way, loaded with tracks from the Edgerunners series — because what is a Night City drive without the right soundtrack?
Double Trouble: Dual-Wielding Is Finally Here
Arguably the biggest gameplay addition is the new Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree, which lets players dual-wield Pistols and Revolvers from the Power category for the first time. CD Projekt hopes it will unlock an entirely new playstyle, and frankly, twin pistols in Night City were long overdue.
You’ll also be able to customize your hand cyberware — Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and the Projectile Launch System — with fresh looks from unique Glamdoc shops. Each one comes with its own intro scene, voiceover, and animations, plus a catalog of cyberware skins with customizable colors.
More Quests, Mods Everywhere, and QoL Wins
Two more side quests round out the package: Welcome to Paradise!, a guided tour of Night City narrated by the city’s founder Richard Night himself, and an extension of Fool on the Hill featuring new tarot cards.
On the tech side, 2.5 brings cross-platform mod support to PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X and S, groups saves by playthrough in the Load Game menu, and — finally — an FOV slider on consoles.
