Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra lands in Australia on 22 October 2026, starting at AUD $2,299. The flagship tablet packs a 14.6-inch display and a new processor aimed squarely at high-end mobile gaming and creative work.

Big Screen, Serious Power
The headline spec is the 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the tablet runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor with a minimum of 12GB of RAM, going up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage on the top-tier Ultra model. Both models support microSD expansion up to 2TB.
Battery life is another strong point: Samsung promises up to 23 hours on a single charge from the 11,600mAh cell, with 45W fast charging support. A 3D vapour chamber keeps the hardware cool during long gaming sessions, and the whole device is IP68 water and dust resistant — a rarity in the tablet market that even Apple’s iPad line lacks.
Built for Gamers and Creators
Every Tab S12 ships with an S Pen in the box, and Samsung is positioning the line around multitasking, note-taking, and creative work. A major draw for artists: Adobe Photoshop arrives preloaded on the Galaxy Tab S12 line, the first time the software has been available on an Android tablet, with an interface adapted for stylus use.
Audio gets an upgrade too, with a new quad-speaker array delivering four-channel spatial audio. The tablet runs Android 17 with One UI 9, includes Galaxy AI features like Note Assist and Multi Window (which splits the screen into up to three sections), and ships with a six-month trial of Google AI Pro.
Australian Pricing and Lineup
The range comes in two sizes. The Galaxy Tab S12+ uses a 12.6-inch display and starts at AUD $1,999, while the 14.6-inch Ultra starts at AUD $2,299. Both go on sale in Australia on 22 October in a single colour: Grey. Like Samsung’s top-end phones, the tablets support seven years of OS and security updates.
Note that prices are up on last year’s models — the Ultra costs $200 more at launch than the Tab S11 Ultra — likely a consequence of the AI-driven global memory shortage. Samsung also announced the Galaxy SmartTag3 tracker alongside the tablets, but Australian buyers will have to wait until 2027 for that one.
