What Is Marvel’s Zodiac About?
Details remain scant, but sources tell Deadline the story follows a pair of spies chasing targets with special abilities — a grounded premise by MCU standards, closer to a Le Carré-style thriller than a cape showcase. The concept lands squarely in the writers’ wheelhouse: the duo previously created and executive produced the Israeli series Trust No One, Bad Boy, 8200, Red Skies, and Traitor.
Why Euphoria Creator Ron Leshem Is a Big Get for the MCU
Leshem is best known in the West as a creator of the original Israeli Euphoria series — the show that became HBO’s global phenomenon under Sam Levinson with Zendaya. Putting a writer with that pedigree on a Marvel spy series suggests Zodiac is aiming for something grittier and more character-driven than the typical MCU streaming outing. If the 2028 premiere holds, Zodiac will arrive deep into Marvel’s next-phase slate, and its thriller DNA could give Disney+ exactly the tonal variety its Marvel lineup has been missing.
