Major League Wrestling returned with a new episode of MLW Fusion on October 22, airing on Tubi, and the show was packed with fallout and forward momentum heading into Saturday Night SuperFight. From an Opera Cup quarterfinal shocker to a street fight spilling onto the pavement, the show set the table for the company’s biggest card of the fall.

MLW Fusion Results (10/22): Opera Cup Quarterfinal Headlines the Night
The standout match of the night was an Opera Cup quarterfinal between Austin Aries and Trevor Lee, with Aries advancing to move one step closer to the tournament finals. Aries’ win over a former Opera Cup winner is a statement result — he remains one of the most decorated technicians in the field, and the tournament is heating up.
CONTRA, Tessa Blanchard and a Street Fight in the Streets
CONTRA’s Josef Samael cut a menacing promo, threatening all of MLW and declaring that Masha Slamovich will conquer the company — a big tease for CONTRA’s plans moving forward. Shotzi Blackheart named Japanese star Kamitani as a dream match, and things escalated when Scarlett and Zamaya entered the ring, sparking a brawl between the women.
In the injury report corner, the news was rough: CJ Gallows is out with a fractured jaw, a concussion and bruising to his lungs, and the Glasgow Boys have been fined. On the flip side, Coffey dedicated his win to Gallows and made clear he is coming for Trevor Lee and the Southern Crown Championship. The Good Brothers vs. the Glasgow Boys is now official for Saturday Night SuperFight in a Chicago Street Fight.
Elsewhere, Killer Kross and Josh Bishop took their feud literally into the streets, brawling outside the building in one of the night’s wildest segments. Yota Tsuji issued an open challenge for Saturday Night SuperFight, and Tessa Blanchard declared she is coming to MLW to remind the world who she is — a major free-agent tease that could reshape the roster.
