AJ Francis could soon be heading toward free agency, but fans should not expect him to leave TNA Wrestling just yet. The former WWE star’s contract is coming up at the end of 2026, and both sides reportedly want to keep their relationship going.

AJ Francis TNA Contract Expires End of 2026
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Francis’ current TNA deal is set to expire toward the end of the year. However, Francis is interested in staying with the company, and TNA wants to keep him around. A new agreement is expected to get done, although nothing has been finalized yet.
That is a strong sign for Francis, who has spent the last three years building his career in TNA after his WWE run came to an end. During his time with the promotion, he captured the TNA Digital Media Championship and brought back the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship.
Why AJ Francis Feels At Home In TNA
Francis has also been involved in several major storylines, working with names like Joe Hendry, Mike Santana and Elijah. He recently made it clear that he feels more appreciated in TNA than he did during his WWE days, where he competed as Top Dolla.
Speaking to The Wrestling Classic, Francis said he feels he has a home in TNA because the company recognises what he brings to the table, and praised the creative freedom he has been given to help put together his own storylines.
For now, there is no indication Francis is looking to jump to another promotion. Unless something changes during negotiations, it looks like he will be sticking around.
