Marvel has added a surprise name to the Avengers: Doomsday cast list: Sandra Hüller is reportedly joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for a secret cameo role this December.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Project Hail Mary star was a last-minute addition to the movie, which pits the Avengers against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. No details about Hüller’s role were shared.

Marvel Studios and directors Joe and Anthony Russo are keeping the character under wraps, but fans had already been speculating about her involvement in recent days. Given that the role is billed as a cameo, Hüller likely appears briefly across the film’s 2-hour-and-45-minute runtime.
Like major stars before her — including Harry Styles and Charlize Theron — she could surface only in a credits stinger, which would make sense given that Doomsday is expected to set up Avengers: Secret Wars in December 2027.
From Oscar Nominee to the MCU
Hüller is a German actor with a decades-long career in film and television, nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Oscars for Anatomy of a Fall. She’s also known for The Zone of Interest, Digger, and Fatherland — and recently played Eva Stratt in Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary, a performance critics singled out as one of the film’s best.
