If you still export the same CSV by hand every week, Basedash wants that chore off your plate. The AI-native business intelligence platform has launched Scheduled CSV Exports on Product Hunt, and the pitch is as simple as it sounds: ask once, and get a fresh CSV in Slack or email every week.
Basedash is built around natural language — you connect your data, describe the chart or analysis you want, and the AI generates the visualization with no SQL required. The new export feature extends that same hands-off idea to recurring reports.
How Basedash Scheduled CSV Exports Work
Setup happens inside the instructions you give your Basedash automation. Write something like “send a CSV of last week’s new signups every Monday”, and every run builds the file directly from your live data. In Slack, the CSV arrives attached in the message’s thread. For emails and the automation’s run history, recipients get a Download CSV link instead.
One catch worth knowing: downloads go through Basedash itself, so anyone receiving the file needs access to the automation to open it. That keeps the data permissioned, but it means you cannot forward a usable download link to someone outside your Basedash setup.
Who Basedash Is For
This is aimed at teams and operators who live in recurring reports — weekly signup counts, sales summaries, support ticket exports — and want the numbers to show up without anyone touching a dashboard. The company’s Product Hunt page notes that free options are available, so you can try the workflow before committing. Basedash is a Y Combinator-backed company that launched in 2019, and the Scheduled CSV Exports release is its 39th launch on the platform.
If your week currently includes a recurring “someone export the data” task, this is the kind of automation that quietly deletes it.
