2026 has been a big year for AEW recruitment, with names such as Maya World, Hyan, The Motor City Machine Guns and, most recently, Ilja Dragunov and The New Level joining the roster. The additions span different styles and backgrounds, but Harwood sees a common thread: they all raise AEW’s ceiling.
Dax Harwood Welcomes AEW’s 2026 Signings
“I think growing is a big part of any company and bringing on talent,” Harwood said. “The incredible, talented people you just mentioned is going to do nothing but help us continue to grow. I’m a big fan of Maya World. I’m a big, obviously, big fan of, like I said, Motor City Machine Guns, and having The New Level here brings a lot of additional eyeballs to our product.”
His message was simple and open-ended: “So anybody that can come along and help to continue to grow AEW, that’s always going to be a plus. It’s always going to be a positive. So as long as they’re here to help that goal, I’ll welcome anybody.”
What the New Signings Mean for AEW’s Roster Depth
Harwood’s comments reflect a veteran’s view of roster building. New signings do not just fill spots on a card — they bring fresh matchups, new audiences and competition for places that pushes everyone to a higher level. The Motor City Machine Guns, already in a best-of-five series with FTR, are a case in point, while The New Level’s arrival has immediately created buzz around the tag division.
For a company still building its long-term identity, that kind of depth matters. Harwood’s welcome is not just politeness — it is a recognition that AEW’s growth depends on the very talent now walking through the door.
