Leon Slater has one dream left on his wrestling bucket list: winning the TNA World Championship inside TNA’s legendary six-sided ring. Speaking on the I Love Wrestling Podcast, the rising star admitted he was praying the iconic ring would return when TNA Destination X was announced this year.

When TNA first made its debut, it stood out from every other promotion by ditching the traditional four-sided ring for a six-sided one. That unique ring was used until 2010, brought back in 2014, and ultimately retired again in 2018. For a generation of fans who grew up on TNA, the six-sided ring is inseparable from the company’s identity.
Leon Slater Prays for TNA Six-Sided Ring Return
Slater was asked about his reaction to the announcement of TNA Destination X returning this year, and he did not hide his hope. “I was just praying that the six-sided ring would come back, to be real,” he said. “I don’t know if it is, I don’t know if it isn’t, but man, I hope it does.”
“Because I’m sure, growing up a TNA fan, that’s what we loved, right?” Slater added. He acknowledged the ring’s reputation — “as much as people said it sucked back in the day” — but argued that its difficulty is exactly the point. “It’s way harder; it hurts way more than a four-sided ring, and that hurts enough.”
For a high-flyer like Slater, the six-sided ring would be a fascinating challenge. The extra sides and unusual angles change everything about how matches are wrestled, from the ropes to the corners, and it would test even the most athletic performers in new ways.
Slater’s Dream: TNA World Champion in a Six-Sided Ring
Slater summed up his ambition in one line: “I would love the chance to be TNA World Champion and wrestle in a TNA six-sided ring.” It is a goal that ties his personal journey to the company’s history — a lifelong TNA fan chasing the company’s top title in the ring that made TNA different.
Elsewhere in the interview, Slater also talked about his Option C promo at TNA Lockdown, showing that his ambitions for the company’s biggest stages are already taking shape. Whether the six-sided ring returns for Destination X remains to be seen, but Slater has made his case loud and clear.
