Marina Shafir has fired a direct message at AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné — and she wants a match to prove it. In a digital exclusive after this week’s AEW Collision, Shafir told Moné she does not need the bells, whistles or production that come with the champion’s act: she just needs the opportunity to work.

Marina Shafir Sends Message To Mercedes Moné After AEW Collision
The challenge follows Shafir’s appearance on this past week’s AEW Dynamite, where she interrupted Moné’s celebration of retaining her title at AEW WrestleDream. Now Shafir has sharpened the message, saying she respects Moné — “you are in a league of your own” — but believes she belongs in that same league herself.
“You need to swing your dominance in between your legs, and I don’t,” Shafir said. “I don’t need bells and whistles. I don’t need affirmations. I don’t need a dance. I don’t need production. I just need the opportunity to work. All of the work that I have been doing these last three years has gotten me here.”
Shafir Wants To Stand Across The Ring From Moné
Shafir closed with the clearest possible challenge: “I need to stand across the ring from you, and I want to show everyone exactly who I am. But most importantly, I need to show you.” It is a straight call-out of the women’s world champion, built on three years of work rather than flash — and it sets up a potential title showdown that AEW fans will now be watching for.
