The fog is rolling back in. A new leak suggests the Silent Hill remake is targeting a 2027 launch, with first cast details emerging for Bloober Team’s remake of the 1999 PS1 horror classic.

With Silent Hill 2’s remake selling 6 million copies, it is no surprise Bloober Team and Konami want another crack at the series. Last year, the Polish developer and Japanese publisher confirmed they were remaking the first Silent Hill — and now a report from MP1ST suggests work has been under way since 2022.
Silent Hill Remake 2027 Cast Details Leaked
According to the report, the game cast its actors under the codename “Project Noise,” and features Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew in major roles. Fritz has worked in games from Battlefield 2042 to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, as well as a range of TV shows, while Matthew is best known for British TV appearances.
While it is not yet clear what roles the two actors play, the report speculates that police officer Cybil Bennett, nurse Lisa Garland, or primary antagonist Dahlia Gillespie would fit. There is no word yet on who could play protagonist Harry Mason.
Silent Hill Remake Kicks Off Konami’s Second Wave
The 2027 window lines up with Konami’s recent run of Silent Hill projects, with Townfall launching this year and Silent Hill f in 2025 — giving fans a new Silent Hill project each year. Producer Motoi Okamoto has said Konami is planning “second and third waves” of new Silent Hill games, pointing at Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f and Townfall as the first wave.
That would make a remake of the first game the beginning of the second wave. Bloober Team is also busy elsewhere, working on DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn, its multiplayer horror game, Saw: Genesis, and story-driven adventure Star Trek: Shadow Frontier.
For now, treat the 2027 date and casting as a leak rather than official confirmation — but if it holds, the town of Silent Hill is coming back sooner than fans dared hope.
