Bakudo Action Game Reveals Nintendo Switch 2 Version, Launches in 2027

Shueisha Games has confirmed that Bakudo, the sci-fi action battle game from Sayil Games, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its PC release, with both versions launching in 2027. The announcement arrived during the Japanese Nintendo Indie World Showcase on Wednesday, alongside a brand-new trailer.

Bakudo Switch 2 Release Brings Ball-Throwing Battles to a New Platform

The game was already on the radar for PC players, but the Switch 2 version gives console fans a new way in. The trailer shown during the showcase leans into the game’s unusual hook: battles built around throwing balls as part of the combat, wrapped in a bright sci-fi school setting.

That mix is what sets Bakudo apart from a standard action title. Rather than swords or guns alone, the fighting revolves around ball-based attacks, and the trailer shows that system in motion against the backdrop of a prestigious academy.

Yuria’s Fight Against the Stellar Eight

The story follows Yuria, a newcomer to Soliris Academy, a school where hopefuls chase the title of top Corestriker. Yuria arrives following a lead about her missing father, but her entrance exam goes wrong fast: she breaks the rules to save another examinee in danger, and her admission is revoked on the spot.

That is when Aria, the academy’s strongest student and the head of its ranked Stellar Eight, steps in with an ultimatum. Yuria has ten days to defeat the Stellar Eight, or she leaves the academy for good.

With her partner Evie at her side, Yuria races to meet that deadline. Behind the academy’s glittering reputation, the story hints at a secret that could decide the fate of the world, giving the ball-throwing battles a much bigger stake than a school ranking.

What We Know About the Bakudo 2027 Launch

For now, the confirmed facts are the platforms and the window: Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam in 2027. No exact date has been shared yet, and the showcase trailer is the main new look at the game so far.

For fans of anime-flavoured action games, Bakudo is one to watch. A school rivalry, a ten-day deadline, a missing father and a world-shaping secret make for a strong setup, and the Switch 2 announcement means a much wider audience will be able to try it when it lands in 2027.
