A Song of Romance Music Video and prima aurora Movie
The new music video gives fans a fresh visual treatment for a song already tied to the franchise’s ongoing film project. “A Song of Romance” is one of the tracks performed by the in-universe band Ave Mujica, whose masked, theatrical persona has become one of BanG Dream!’s most distinctive selling points.
The Ave Mujica: prima aurora movie is being animated by Nichicaline (BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita) with Kodai Kakimoto directing. The film is currently screening in Japanese theaters and serves as a continuation of the Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast anime, which debuted in January 2025 and was animated by Sanzigen.
Fans looking ahead will not have to wait long for more. A sequel to the Ave Mujica anime has already been announced and is set to begin airing on January 8, 2027, keeping the band’s story alive well beyond the current theatrical run.
What the Ave Mujica Anime Is About
The series centers on Sakiko Togawa, who reaches out toward an even deeper abyss after losing everything in a single night — and drags everyone around her down with her. Gathering the lives of girls burdened with their own troubles and desires, Sakiko raises the curtain on a perfect masquerade.
On a stage where sorrow, death, fear, and love are stripped away, the story asks whether the band members’ masks will shatter into oblivion or hold. The official synopsis teases: “Will you give me the rest of your life?”
With the music video out, a movie still in theaters, and a sequel confirmed for early 2027, Ave Mujica remains one of the busiest corners of the BanG Dream! universe right now.
