Ric Flair has heard the question one too many times — and on Friday, October 30, the 16-time world champion finally answered everyone who keeps wondering how he’s still alive. The 77-year-old ‘Nature Boy’ took to social media with a blistering response that reads like a Hall of Fame résumé.

Ric Flair fires back at fans questioning how he’s still alive

“The question I keep getting asked is — how am I still alive? After 5,000 matches with 2,400 of them being one-hour draws and five 90-minute bouts. Round trip to Japan, 24 hours, only to wrestle three one-hour draws,” Flair wrote. He kept going: “Airplane crash, 31 days in the ICU and 14 days on life support. 35 days in rehab. And you are worried about me falling down and hitting my eye? WTF.”

The post follows Flair’s recent fall outside a restaurant in Florida. Though he was taken to a hospital after the incident, he is reported to be okay — with a surgery planned for the future.

Ric Flair’s AEW run and health scares

Flair is currently signed to AEW, where he has appeared sporadically alongside his son-in-law Andrade and others. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer has survived some of the most brutal chapters in wrestling history — including the infamous 1975 plane crash that killed pilot Mike Farkas and nearly ended his career — plus major health scares in recent years, including a 2017 hospitalization that put him in a medically induced coma.

His message on Friday was classic Flair: defiant, profane, and dripping with the showmanship that made him the dirtiest player in the game. After everything he’s endured, the Nature Boy’s answer to the doubters was simple — he’s still here, and he’s not going anywhere.
